Open drawing, article published in Revista Sonda (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain, December 2021).
Open Drawing is a concept that encompasses contemporary practices in which drawing is presented as an art of time, collective, relational, and interdisciplinary. It takes drawing from the idea of open work and the concept of open source developed by the Free Software culture. The openness of drawing also refers to the fact that by expanding its disciplinary field it can dialogue live with the performing arts and can take from these disciplines methods to develop its own language.
The research is developed through different methods to approach drawing from a transpersonal approach, deconstructing the common place given to it as an individual practice. Based on the idea that it is a practice accessible to anyone, it seeks to contribute to the reappropriation of artistic languages by the community.
