TUMO x NewImages: Learning Lab Residency in Armenia

In July 2026, Marcela Rapallo took part in a month-long artistic residency in Armenia, after being selected for the first edition of the Learning Lab Residency, a new program developed by NewImages Festival and TUMO Center for Creative Technologies.

During the residency, she led two Performative Drawing Labs with TUMO students. Both labs culminated in collective performative drawing works created with Trazos Club.

At TUMO Yerevan, the group developed a performance inspired by Parvana, the poem by Hovhannes Tumanyan, which was projected at large scale onto the facade of the TUMO building.

At TUMO Dilijan, the lab culminated in Tumanian Remix, an immersive work presented in the city’s former cinema.

The residency brought together seven international artists and creators to develop projects with TUMO students at the intersection of art, technology, and education.
